Need the convenience of shelf stable products?
Keeping it Fresh.
JEC’s milk and milk alternatives are produced under the highest quality standards. Utilizing aseptic packaging as well as UHT pasteurization we make our products the most shelf stable they can be so you can be assured of its freshness the moment you open its seal.
What is Aseptic?
Aseptic packaging is simply a way of protecting what’s good in your food products. The aseptic process involves sterilizing the package, which is then filled with the sterilized food product and sealed in a sterile environment. This allows the food to retain its color, taste, and nutritional value for an extended period of time. Aseptic packaging is used for white milk, flavored milks, fruit juices, creams, yogurt, wines, soups, stews, and many other food products that are part of our everyday lives.
What is UHT?
Ultra High Temperature (or UHT) pasteurization is simply a high temperature sterilization procedure. It is not a chemical process and is accomplished without the use of additives. In the UHT process, milk is heated above 280 degrees Fahrenheit for several seconds, then cooled down to around 70 degrees Fahrenheit in a continuous system. During the heating of the milk, all spoilage bacteria are destroyed before the milk is packaged aseptically. UHT milk generally has a shelf life of 6 to 9 months.
